はつ恋、or First Love (My Mother’s First Love) [2000]
真田広之 (Hiroyuki Sanada) plays Fujiki Shinichiro, a somewhat disreputable and down-on-his-luck gentleman who was the childhood sweetheart of the main character’s mother. A very sweet film, that I had to search really hard to find in the US. I thought some of his western fans might also like to see it and get an idea of what the story is about. Please, enjoy.
