　女優の桐谷美玲さんが9月19日、東京都内で行われた主演映画「ヒロイン失格」（英勉監督）の初日舞台あいさつに登場。原作の「大ファン」と公言していた桐谷さんは「4年前からはとりを演じたかった」といい、「いつか現実になりたいと強く強く思っていた。今日、夢がかないました。本当に幸せです」と喜びをかみしめていた。舞台あいさつには山崎賢人さん、坂口健太郎さん、福田彩乃さん、我妻三輪子さん、 高橋メアリージュンさん、濱田マリさん、竹内力さん、英監督も登場した。

　「ヒロイン失格」はマンガ誌「別冊マーガレット」（集英社）で2010年4月～13年4月に連載され、コミック累計117万部を発行する幸田さんの人気少女マンガが原作。主人公・松崎はとりは、幼なじみの寺坂利太（山崎さん）のヒロインは自分だと思い込んでいたが、寺坂は同じクラスのイケてない女の子と付き合い始め、はとりには学校イチのモテ男・弘光（坂口さん）が興味を持ち始め……という内容。
