  1. Stockton was a sales person, Cameron is a highly intelligent engineer who Stockton wished he could be.

  2. The Titanic 'crashed'?? Lol! Gotta love journalists that speak to topics they have no clue about.

  3. …..and yet Titan Oceangate company want to continue with a macabre Titanic toutist events..
,….when reltives of Titanic ship disaster want everyone to stop ….

    Let them rest in peace
..and stop all this macarbre gawping , just to get a cheap thrill.

  4. So if the professionals knew it was gone why did they do so much??? Respect to the families, but it seems like a waste of money and we should have waited for the French submersible to find the remains. Again no disrespect to the families, but they had the world thinking these people were alive and the professionals knew there was an implosion smh

  5. Arrogance and disregard on the titanic especially bruce ismay who overuled the captain n ordered more speed ….. The same as Stockton rush did by cutting corners on safety n using carbon fibre isntead of steel or titanium….. N no transponder beacon the Titan sub was a experimental disaster in the end ….. But i give the utmost respect to bob Ballard and james Cameron 2 very experienced deep sea diver's with. a weath of knowledge on deep sea submersibles on how they should be constructed

  6. Bob when you found the Titanic, tou said tha its a very quiet and peaceful down there and the wreck should be left alone

  7. Dear Bob, I always remember what you said when you found the the Titanic: it is a very quiet and peaceful down there and it should b e left alone, after all iis a grave, you don't see any bodies, but you see where they needed, sucked down or were on the ship when she went down. A very unfortunate name Titan!

  8. James cameron talking abt oceangate is like a level 100 endgame player watching a bunch of level 10 players enter the level 90 dungeon

  9. They new in advance but despite being richest people (compared to many)
they didn't get rov ready early?

    Operation Mockingbird

Don't notice the real emergency in your Mystery Babylon.

  10. The NAVY went to Ballard and "funded" the Titanic search as a "treat" for Ballard to find and explore the USS Thresher and USS Scorpion. Not to find just the Titanic. They wanted to check the nuclear reactors on both and nuclear munitions that Scorpion carried when she sunk. It was done to ensure that the sites were not tampered with. The Titanic story was a great rouse for the entire project. I thank Ballard for finding Scorpion again as my father was a Plank Owner and spent more time on her than anyone. I wish they could release it's coverage as they did The Titanic.

  11. The man in charge of the Titan just had a cavalier attitude like he didn’t take the safety serious at all.
    serious

  12. When I heard about it, I thought of everything taught me by my dad, USNavy submariner. Gone. You don't come back up once you go down. It takes immense grit to do this… and immense gall to give so little care to the stress/wear/effects on the materials used to built the submersible in this case. I am sad the USCoast Guard got pushed into exploring "banging noises". you dont' get that with carbonfiber. You get shattering or you get a cool sports car. You don't get something that can keep doing what this thing did. Just b/c Airbus uses it doesn't mean it's okay for this application!

  13. The Australian engineer who built James Cameron's submersible said that Cameron was obsessive about every detail and would debate for hours as to whether a titanium washer was better than a stainless steel one. That is the kind of attention to detail and seriousness required for such a dangerous venture. Plus, Cameron always went down with two submersibles in case there was an issue.

  14. Stockton built a suicide machine. Just because it didn’t implode on prior dives, doesn’t mean it would last lifetime. This year, next year, or year later, sooner or later, eventually it would implode, cause it was built with Risky Engineering.
He just got lucky it didn’t happen during past dives, which gave him few more years to live. This sub was doomed from the time of built.
Unfortunately for him, every past dive gave him reassurance that sub can resist pressure. He was just waiting for only time to tell it. and Here we are..

  15. My backyard submarine is ready. I am taking registrations for trips to the Mariana Trench – Only $25,000 per person

  16. I think James Cameron is a coward. I think he waited to see which way the public sentiment wind blew before speaking out publicly. If the world was calling the dead "heroes," JC would have echoed that feeling. Because the world is coming down hard on the sub guy, so does James. A coward. Why is much less risk ok to go down to the titanic? Why is it ok to take a 1 in 500 chance on your life, or whatever it is, in a better vehicle. This guy is a coward.

  17. James Cameron: "There is no excuse for what happened here." You gotta love a guy that lays it on heavy and tells you EXACTLY how it is.

  19. I don't think the millionaires who paid for the ticket researched about the certificates or understood what 380x atm pressure meant when travelling in a hull made of materials that can instantly become a million shards sharper and stronger than the knives in their houses. This is why knowing a little bit of general since is so important.

  20. As much as i love South PArk, i must admit, James Cameron is actually impressive in real life as well.

  21. I believe people are missing the obvious, Rush knew Titan was dodgy so did his Passengers, In fact anybody with half a brain knew it was dodgy. What got these passengers blood flowing was the thought of traveling to the bowls of the earth in some dodgy craft. The sense of adventure was what they were looking for.

  22. That's right, according to Russian maritime laws, deep-sea vehicles MIR-1 and MIR-2 are certified with a full test every 5 years. Any metal of the capsule (sphere) has residual fatigue at the micro level due to many cycles of compression and depressurization. It is important to timely diagnose the end of the safe limit of diving to the maximum depth and the occurrence of restrictions on the depth of diving. So far, MIR-1 and MIR-2 are confirming their certificates for a maximum depth of 6000 meters.

  23. James Cameron is so incredibly wise on the subject of deep sea diving with his experience and his intelligence. Stockton Rush took shortcuts and is ultimately responsible for everyone of those passengers losing their lives. No certification for safety, using carbon fiber composite wound in parallel lines which was a recipe for disaster, lying to their clients about past successful dives to the Titanic and luring people like PH Nargeolet into a false sense of security. Every time we hear about Titan we hear some more news that makes us shake our heads in disbelief at the staggering incompetence and arrogance Stockton Rush and the entire Oceangate team. May this tragedy never be repeated again.

  24. It's a shame that they spent millions of dollars and used sooo many resources to find this wreck when there were people who KNEW right away where it was and what had happened. It gave MSM days' worth of "breaking news" fodder!

  25. Disturbing to see all the 20/20 hindsight people now.. after five people are dead
