There's an alternative version in case you wanna learn to dance this called "Air Dance Version", with the camera only pointing in front of the girls. This also got another juicy commentary vid made by our girls.🦊🤘
What's not to love? The ladies coming up through the pentagram on the floor was pretty fucking cool. They're a manufactured band – but they have first class music and video production. Musicians kind of like to dismiss bands like this. But you have to have an open mind these days. Otherwise you miss out on the progressive music revolution that's being shared worldwide. And being entertained and distracted has a pretty high bar these days Cheers!!
Great reaction. Their very first song, recorded at the end of October 2010 when Su was 12, Yui and Moa were both 11. They made their stage debut playing this song at the first Sakura Gakuin show in November 2010. The video was shot nearly a year later in 2011 on a shoestring budget – they had to borrow clothes to make up their own costumes, if you look closely you can see the white tape stuck on the Babybones' black body suits peeling off in places.
Doki doki is onomatopoeic for a fast or excited heart beat. The song (as you'd imagine with 11 and 12 year old girls) is about a girl waking up late and rushing to get ready for an exciting day at school with her friends. It covers all the usual metal themes like what lip gloss to choose, how to get her hair straight … you know, all the same old stuff most metal songs are about.
PBT, I watched all of your BM reactions from this stream; great viewing. It's amazing seeing people who 'get' Babymetal do a project like this. Props to you man. Loved it.
Funnily enough they did the same exact entrance for the Budokan Black Night "DDM" performance as the first encore of the concert. Pentagram or magic square included. 😁
